£60,228 – £69,284 + benefits

To support our vision that children in Scotland will be safer, will grow up in strong, resilient families and will have access to early help and support when they need it, we are looking to recruit into the business critical role of Director of Finance & Corporate Services. Reporting to the Chief Executive you will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Finance, ICT. HR and Property functions ensuring Children 1st has sound financial management and planning and operates sustainably and efficiently meeting key organisational objectives.

 

You will be joining an executive team driven to do even better for the children we support and with a clear and ambitious plan to deliver and as a member of the Executive Leadership team you will directly contribute at a strategic level to the capacity building, organisational development, resilience, sustainability and impact of the organisation.

 

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record of robust financial management, ideally gained within the voluntary sector, and significant  experience of operating at a senior level ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, sound corporate governance and providing financial information and analysis to allow informed decision making. An accomplished communicator with highly developed people management skills, you will also be able to demonstrate a proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

 

With a strong commitment to Children 1st‘s vision, mission and values the successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Relevant record of leading, motivating, managing, supporting and developing high performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Evidence of successful strategic and operational resource management and financial planning in an appropriately complex setting
  • Experience of leading and supporting teams through change
  • Previous experience of continuous improvement, developing robust financial controls, systems and procedures and embedding best practice as appropriate
