As the business prepares to strengthen its global governance framework in anticipation of potential future listing requirements, the Head of Sarbanes-Oxley role is pivotal to its ambitions. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and agile leader to join Aggreko at an early stage and shape a robust compliance framework tailored to its distinctive operations.
As Head of Sarbanes-Oxley, the initial and primary objective will be to lead the design and implementation of a SOX compliance program aligned with and proportionate to Aggreko’s business operations and potential future listing requirements.
The post-holder will develop, roll-out and embed a comprehensive SOX compliance framework; establish a fit for purpose internal SOX organisation; work with third party advisors to garner best practice insights; and coordinate internal measures to make the organisation SOX-ready.
On an ongoing basis, the individual will ensure the effective design and operation of internal controls, timely compliance testing and remediation of control deficiencies. The post-holder will collaborate across Finance, Legal, ATS and other teams to promote a culture of compliance and accountability ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance – Centre of Excellence, the role will provide clear communication on compliance status and risks, driving continuous improvement and readiness for further regulatory changes.
The role requires a qualified accountant with proven experience in finance, internal controls or internal audit, including direct experience managing SOX compliance in a listed environment. Experience in a US-listed or dual-listed (UK/US) company would be a distinct advantage.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of SOX requirements, best practice internal control frameworks (and the interface with financial reporting), PCAOB standards and SEC reporting requirements.
