Wobble Genomics Ltd was established by Dr Richard Kuo, who has more than 15 years’ experience in biology and bioengineering, including over 10 years carrying out research into long-read RNA sequencing at the University of Edinburgh’s Roslin Institute. Wobble Genomics combines biochemistry with bioinformatics to provide integrated biotechnology solutions through the creation of two core revolutionary core technologies: Level-Up technology which allows for maximum DNA sampling efficiency during sequencing and TAMA software for analysing long read RNA sequencing data.
It is now looking to recruit a new Fractional CFO to join its team. The CFO will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and operations of the company. They will work closely with the CEO to ensure the company’s strategic goals are executed and successfully delivered. The role demands a professional with the expertise to navigate change, embrace growth, drive innovation, and empower and further develop a multi-functional team.
You will have proven experience as a CFO in a high-growth, scaleup environment, ideally within the bio-tech sector, although other transferable sectors will be considered. You will also have strong expertise in managing the fundraising cycle, including due diligence, investor relations, and successfully driving new fundraising. Familiarity and experience with government grants would be welcome.
