Consultant Spotlight – Sophie Randles

Sophie Randles

Sophie Randles joined the Livingston James Group in 2015 to set up the professional services and private equity business focusing on supporting leadership appointments for private equity, portfolio companies & management teams.

Here we talk to Sophie about her time with the Group.

“Prior to joining the Livingston James Group, I worked with a FTSE250 listed recruitment company, so I was familiar with the strong work ethic and the business of recruitment.  However, what really made the team at Livingston James stand out to me was the genuine desire to create something better, investing time and effort in understanding what our clients want to achieve, not just with their next appointment, but with their business as a whole.

“This partnership approach has established Livingston James as business experts, not just recruiters.  We are about much more than filling roles to hit targets.  Our approach is based on building relationships and a reputation for not being afraid to challenge our clients or have the hard conversations.

“As a result, at Livingston James a significant amount of our business comes from referrals or repeat clients where we have invested time and effort to understand their culture and goals.

“We work hard to create a community that our clients and candidates can be a part of, whether through informal introductions or more formal networking events and panels.  Our CSR activity such as supporting the Wooden Spoon initiatives and additional charitable fundraisers allow new ways to get to know our network, whilst giving back to our wider communities.

“Our values are an important part of who we are as a business, and our purpose helps guide our actions and plays a part in every single conversation I have with current and potential clients or candidates.  One that particularly resonates with me is ‘Be Passionate and Determined’.  Our clients pick up on our enthusiasm for their successes and ability to overcome challenges, further cementing our relationship as a trusted advisor or extension of their business.”
