The Livingston James Group comprises five recruitment businesses; Livingston James, Rutherford Cross, Drummond Bridge, Edison Bond and Amicus Ford.
Every year we aim to take part in a gruelling Challenge – it helps us get to know each other a little better, but more importantly gives us a chance to support the communities we live and work in through our fundraising efforts.
This year we have chosen the physically demanding Coast to Coast Challenge – the original Rat Race adventure. Along with over a 1000 others, we will individually aim to run, bike and kayak over 105 miles through one of the most famous mountain landscapes in the world – Scotland’s Great Glen.
We have over twenty staff, almost two thirds of our whole team, and a handful of associates taking part and we aim to support two fantastic charities.
We have chosen Cancer Support Scotland and Meningitis Research Foundation, selected by the teams because somewhere in our business we have personal connections to the fantastic work these organisations do.

Last week, two of our colleagues, Alistair Shaw and Kirsty Mclardy, attended the CIPD Scotland Annual Conference 2025. With rousing opening and closing speeches special guests, as well as insightful information sharing from a host of professionals within the sector, it was a truly thought-provoking day.
Following the success of the inaugural Future CEO report in association with EY, Livingston James has decided to carry out this research project annually. The 2025 survey is now open and we are looking for leaders to share their insights on what they believe will be the most important characteristics for the CEO of the future.
Having celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2024, Right There remains dedicated to providing tailored support to individuals in their homes and communities. As part of the organisation’s strategic growth and commitment to delivering the highest-quality support, three new Head of Service roles have been created. These positions will bring expertise, strategic direction, and capacity to ensure Right There’s programmes thrive.
